Gesture of Appreciation

Dearest Khoo Sir,

Glad to hear from u. Pretty busy these days. I'm working double shift in Bristol Royal Infirmary and Frenchay Hospital as General Assistant. I used to carry body (corpse) a couple times. Sometimes the work is excited but mostly boring. Anyway, the paid is quite fair and i manage to save up to 350 pounds/week. Yet, apparently I had sacrificed my social times.

Bad news is this year UK suffer the coldest Spring. There was snowing even in April. Climate change dramatically and horrible. Anyway, at least I enjoy longer daylight now. Spring shine is washing away the winter depression and warming up dream and hope.

When the torch finally reach Beijing, i guess that will be the time i begin my adventure. I always have a dream to experience the different culture in foreign countries. Planning to walk a big circle around Europe then following North Africa and Middle East and South Asia and eventually home. Probably takes time longer than Olympic, isn't it?

On the other hand, Long is working in both British canteen and Chinese Restaurant at the moment. He'll probably return earlier like August or Sep. Surprisingly or Unsurprisingly, he is the most fluent English speaker in the Chinese restaurant. Ha, he proved that u are a good English teacher indirectly!

The flame of dream is shining. The glorious it shines, the stronger faith it lie, yet I never forget the source of fire though we never knew how far it would spread at the first trigger. You are the lighter who lit this torch. I appreciate this indeed.

Hopefully your new-era teaching method will keep leading our student to a higher aspect of study and more important is a next level of living. Times change and so to our generations. We are too young and ignorant even finishing six-year high school education. Wish u a successful trip to Auckland.

Cheers.
